Mother’s Day is coming up, and it’s one of those days that reminds you to slow down and really appreciate the people who’ve given so much of themselves. This year feels extra special for me—it’s the first time I’ll be spending Mother’s Day with my mom in years since she lives in California. The family is taking her to brunch near Santa Monica, and I’m really looking forward to that time together.
It also got me thinking about how many great local spots we have here.
